Is there a way to join exterior walls when you have a Gable Wall as part of that wall? I did a wall break and put a gable for so that the auto roof would draw the gable, but want to rejoin the walls so that when I look at the framing it is all connected. Right now I can look at them as 3 different wall sections, and I know I can line them up in layout to appear as 1 wall but want to looks at the entire wall at once in Wall Detail view so that I can adjust some framing. I am using X8.

Has anyone come up with a way to calculate the wind shear load in x7? I do not do the calculations for a tall wall and usually have the roof and floor truss engineers confirm pretty much what I already know, but would be nice if there was a way in chief to calculate for me to avoid paying someone else to do. Or is there another program that I can pull plan into and have it calculated?
