Hi, I am trying to build a main entry gate to the house as attached. I tried using doors and made the width 4'. However Chief automatically made it into two smaller 30" doors rather than a single 4' door. Is there a way to extend doors beyond 36"? Regards, Tim

Hi Eric, I just did that. I was thinking that changing line type for layer would change the line type for that layer in every layer set. But that is not true. Looks like we can have different line type for same layer in different layer set.

I want to be able to see the reference display layer set as dashed rather than solid lines. See red lines attached. (They mirror the floor above or below) How can I do this without having to change the actual line type for every layer?

Indeed I was in standard view instead of vector view. Once I switch to vector viewI can send to layout or do cad detail from view

Also the CAD detail from view is greyed out. I tried another plan file and everything seems to be working fine so it has to be some setting that is not being set correctly ....

Hi all, I am creating a staking plan for the surveyor. I have a lot defined by the property line and inside I have various markers delineating the roof ridges of the building. I need to auto dimension the distances from the property line to every marker. I have done it manually but it takes a long time. It still does not look precise. How can I add soil to my planter and add plants on top of it. I have made the planter as a room with no roof. Please see attached, the planter is to the right and slightly lower than the pool/weir (the pool has an outer weir since it is an infinity age pool). Thanks, Tim

Thanks Glen and David, Indeed it was the woman causing issues. I think I brought it in from Sketchup log time ago. It is interesting because I had other copies of the woman and they were fine. I just deleted this particular one to fix my house !

Hi all, All of a sudden I am having issues with my layout. Whenever I send things to my layout they don't show up correctly see attached layout file and image. It appears that there is something which moved to layout but is not showing up (see screenshot). I can select it and when I click it I go to the original view/plan, but it is not showing up correctly in layout. Please let me know if you have any hints. thanks, Tim Issue.layout

Ok this was pretty easy I created two windows and made a mulled unit out of them. See attached.

Hi all, Can I have a fixed glass as bottom component and a casement window on top? I want to have this as a single unit like the double awning feature provides(using component option) Or would I have to have two separate windows bottom as fixed glass and the top as regular casement. Thanks, Tim

Hi Michael, Excellent video. I did a similar thing with polyline solids. But had to individually add smaller panels around doors and windows. I really liked how you went to CAD and subtracted the doors and windows from the panels. Thanks again.
