    I am trying to create double, lock off doors between two rooms. This would be the same thing you see in connecting hotel rooms. I have attached a real life picture of what I am trying to create in CA. Does anyone know how I can do this in the program? Thank you!

    Hello, I have an uncle who asked me to design a dream home for his new ranch. He has many children and wanted a large home. I was wondering if anyone could give some general feedback on the plan and offer any suggestions? If he likes it enough, he may give me a room in the house! I would appreciate any feedback. One issue I currently have is the automatic roof on the rear section of the third floor. It is covering the windows in those rooms. Any suggestions on that? I would like the third floor to look smaller then the other floors from the outside but still have the rooms that are up there.     I am pretty sure I cannot due to one computer being mac and the other being Windows. Doesn't the thumb drive have to be reformatted?

    Hello, I recently purchased a new desktop with Windows. The computer is much faster and I custom designed it for renderings. Currently, all of my plans and Chief Architect files are on the MAC. Is there a way to move the files over to the Windows PC without losing plans, data, content, etc? Thank you! Shane

    Hello, I have a plan that when in floor or full camera view, all object, items, walls, etc, cut in half and you can see inside them when you get close. I know this always happens but it seems to be happening from quite far away. In my other plans, you have to get much closer for objects to do the same thing. Any ideas? Maybe a setting I might have bumped? Attached is an image of the issue. Thanks!

    Unfortunately they only provide it to the school itself. 3DS is actually free to students but I have to order a separate hard drive and install windows since both programs do not run on MAC.

    That is AMAZING!!!! I cannot believe this program. It's like the Sims for adults. Just wish I could afford it. I am a broke college student.

    Hello, In Chief Architect, I have completed a hotel that I hope to create in real life. I am contemplating purchasing 3DS Max. If I do purchase it, can I actually have people walk around my Inn that was created using Chief Architect? It is a family inn so I would like to show kids, babies being carried, people checking in, etc. Would this even be possible? Thank you! Shane Carman

    Hello, I have an auto-generated roof on a plan. It is covering some of the windows on my second story. Any suggestions on how to resolve this so that the entire window is visible from the outside? I have attached an image that shows the issue. Thank you! Rv4life

    Hello, I keep having an issue where random lines appear in 3d mode. The lines move around when panning the model. It only seems to affect roofs and flooring. Sometimes if I change a random setting or open any menu, it will stop. Other times this does not work and I cannot stop the issue. Any advice? Here is a video of the issue. Issue in Floor Plan.mov

    Hello, I am trying to add porches to a commercial building. For some reason, a white, rectangle box stays on the second floor porches, even when "roof and ceiling over this room" are unchecked. I have attached images for examples. Any thoughts? Thank you! Shane Carman

    I would appreciate any shared files. Once I begin to create more files, I will certainly share them. I am fairly new to CA. My primary goal with seeing other's work is to see the sizes of the buildings created. I tend to make things too big or small and would love to see the sizes of others projects and their layout.
