Hello everyone, We are Crystal Cabinets Inc., a family-owned builder in Midland, TX, serving Midland, Odessa and the Permian Basin since 1991. I wanted to introduce ourselves to designers and drafters here who have clients planning to build in West Texas. We build custom homes from completed plans, including plans drawn in Chief Architect. If your client already owns land, we can review the site and the plan set and build on their lot, from the foundation through the finished interior. A few things that may help when you are drawing for this area: 1. Soil varies a lot across the Permian Basin, with caliche and expansive clay, so foundation details are usually confirmed after a site visit. 2. Wind and hail are real design loads here, which affects roofing and window choices. 3. Many clients want an attached shop or oversized garage, so it helps to plan that space early. We also build all cabinetry in our own Midland shop and fabricate granite and quartzite countertops in-house, so cabinet layouts from your drawings can be built to the exact dimensions shown. If you have a client building in Midland or Odessa and want a local builder to review a plan, feel free to send me a message here. You can also see how we handle building on your lot on our website. Thank you, Crystal Cabinets Inc.
