Overview:
I am a real estate developer in Norwalk CT looking for an experienced Chief Architect user to review and correct architectural drawings for an 8 unit townhome development. This is an urgent short term project requiring fast turnaround.
Scope of Work:
Review existing Chief Architect drawings for an 8 unit, 3 story plus habitable attic townhome development
Identify and mark all drafting errors including incorrect window placements, dimension inconsistencies, and drawing cleanup issues
Provide detailed redline markup with specific corrections clearly noted
Make corrections directly in Chief Architect file if possible
Suggest layout improvements where applicable
Review framing plan for structural efficiency and accuracy
Identify any framing inconsistencies or potential improvements
Flag any conflicts between framing layout and mechanical, plumbing, or stair locations
Suggest more efficient or structurally sound framing approaches where applicable
Review vertical ductwork chase routing from attic mechanical room down through all floors to mudroom at ground level
Confirm chase location does not conflict with framing, stair locations, or structural elements on each floor
Verify mechanical room dimensions in attic accommodate horizontal furnace configuration with adequate service clearance
Flag any conflicts between ductwork routing and window locations, door swings, or room layouts on each floor
Suggest more efficient chase routing if applicable
Requirements:
Proficient in Chief Architect software — this is mandatory
Experience with residential construction drawings
Familiarity with US IRC residential building code a plus
Familiarity with residential wood framing including engineered lumber, TJI floor systems, and LVL beams a plus
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

3 buildings totaling 8 townhome units
3 stories plus habitable attic per unit
Horizontal furnace configuration in attic mechanical room
Vertical ductwork chase running from attic through all floors to mudroom
16" TJI 360 floor joist system
