Totally hear you on this. Re‑tracing old PDFs can feel like stepping back in time, so much less detail, but also so much less work. An AI tool that could reliably convert a 2D PDF into a clean, editable 3D model in Chief would be a game‑changer, especially for those of us doing a lot of as‑builts or remodels.
Until that day comes, the best we can do is keep streamlining our own workflow layer sets, CAD blocks, and saved defaults help a ton. But yes...if Chief ever adds true AI-assisted PDF-to-model drafting, I’m first in line too.
