  1. I sent 2 different pictures from the same plan (roof framing & floor framing) to layout but when I print to PDF, the roof framing picture has normal line weights but the floor plan has lines so heavy I can't even read the text. I'm pretty sure I've seen this topic covered somewhere, but I've spent considerable time searching the forum with no luck. Anybody have any suggestions?

  2. I tried the hole in roof idea before and again after solver's suggestion. Again the program would not let me draw an attic wall completely across the gable. (only half the gable). To answer the other comment, I find it easier (and less frustrating) to get what I want by manually building the roof.

  3. I'm working on a plot plan and on some of the lines I have checked the box "show line length". The numbers show up huge on my plot plan and I can't seem to find a way to edit their size. I also wanted to change the number style for the plot and it won't change that either. I've search the forums and my "help section and just can't figure it out. Any Ideas?

  4. I just started using X9. In the past when I send an elevation to layout, I have always been able to remove unwanted lines  by using the "edit layout lines" button. Today, when I sent my first elevation to layout, I couldn't select ANY lines in the layout view.

  5. I haven't worked with chief for a couple of weeks so someone else in the office may have changed something. Now when I click the library button, the library doesn't open at least where I can see it. I've zoomed way out and not found it. I did a search of the forums and didn't find anything.  Any ideas? Its probably really simple. <_<

  6. I Can't select some of the text items in my plan. I need to modify or delete some of them and there is just no way to get ahold of them. Its in my floor framing layer set on the main level. A couple of the beam notes and a few of the post notes. Hmmm. I'm having problems attaching the file.

  7. Yes I Know I can make what ever label I want for each individual window but I don't want to go through and edit each window's label. It should automatically display both window size (which it does) and type of window (which it doesn't)

  8. I know this is probably really simple, but I cant get my latest plan to display the window type. In all previous plans the size and type show up automatically when I check the window labels box. But on this plan I only get the window size. I can't seem to find anything on it in Help either.
