For anyone searching to find a solution to this, the issue has been resolved. I am not sure exactly what caused the problem, but it was one of two things. Under foundation wall defaults the sill plate construction was set to general. It should be set to sill plate. The second thing that I changed was the material selected for sill plate. I assume that the first change was the one that effected the sill plate not showing up, however, I made both changes at the same time so I am not sure which one it was exactly.

@coastdesign I am at home now attempting to break this feature using the same file I had saved previously. I cannot tell where the settings at work are different then what I have at home. This is the part of Chief that drives me up a wall. I never know when I am going to have to waste hundreds of dollars and countless hours trying figure out something that should be simple and intuitive.
