Thank you, it worked! Funny how creative you need to get to solve something that seems so simple.

I have been trying that and it is not working. It keeps snapping back to how it is now. I tried using the tool for both the shower wall and the straight interior wall, but no luck. I think because the ends are really close together they automatically snap. If I extend the straight wall further out, it cuts out the curved shower wall. The issue is, it is an existing condition that I need to replicate. Let me know if there are other methods of solving this. Thanks for helping.

Hello, I am in Chief x17. I’m running into an issue with wall intersections. My curved glass shower wall is cutting into my straight interior wall, causing it to follow the curve. I need the interior wall to extend slightly farther out, but when I try using the “Edit Wall Layer Intersection” tool, because the walls are so close together, it keeps snapping back and won’t allow me to extend/ adjust the interior wall. Is there an option in the wall specifications that define which wall cuts the other wall? Thanks in advance.

Follow up question, are they the exact same thing?, the only difference being Physically based uses GPU and raytrace uses CPU? or is there a significant difference between physically based and ray trace?

Hi guys, Very stupid question. I am new to rendering with CA, I am trying to use my GPU(NVIDIA 5070) instead of my CPU when using the ray tracing feature. I have read a few forums suggesting going into settings-> graphics card -> High performance. I have gone into the NVIDIA app as well as the control panel and made sure chief was added. I checked my video card status and it says the 5070 is being used. However, once I start ray tracing and open up control panel, it shows that only CPU is being used when ray tracing. I need to know if Ray tracing is CPU only or if I am doing something wrong and using my GPU IS possible.

Hello, I was working on a model and ran into an issue. I have 2 rooms with different material finishes, when I added a doorway I realized half of the doorway took the ceiling material of room A and the other took the material of Room B. When I spray paint it so its all material B in the doorway, room A ceiling changes (material is connected to room ceiling). Is there a way where the doorway only takes the material of room B? Why does it take half of the material from room A and the other from Room B? Thanks in advance.

Hello, New user here. Quick question, is there a way to make a set of stairs follow a polyline automatically by seleceting a start and end point?

Hi guys, I am new to chief here and ran into an issue. I don't know exactly how wall intersections work, but I managed to seamlessly connect this curved wall to the straight wall on one end but not the other. I am trying to use the "CONNECT WALLS" tool but nothing is happening. Is there a setting in the "OPEN OBJECT" tool I need to select or am I just drawing the curved wall incorrectly?
