  1.  I think to each their own, but the manual states that it is or should at least be an option, I am not happy with that one extra click, particularly when working on complex roofs. Obviously if it's an option, you could choose to leave it off, but if it's NOT an option, the users who prefer that option on are left without it. When someone is working on complex roof shapes, it can literally be dozens or more clicks, like the project below, so I for one hope it makes an appearance on the final version of 15 (I am not a Beta Tester). Thx.

  2.    Hi all, Tony here. I am looking for experienced builders/designers opinions on a builders recent reframing of openings in a house renovation I designed. I am very unhappy with what I see. This is a waterfront home in Connecticut, design wind speed of 110 mph with a large open plan and lots of  glass. Without influencing the replies does anyone see anything wrong with these openings and/or reframing/closure of existing openings?

  3. I have rotated Room Labels for as long as I can remember (thats not that long) and yes I can select the Room Label and move it,but it will not rotate. This is a legacy plan that may have been reversed. I commonly rotate the labels in say a closet where the text can be wider than the room itself.

  4. I am using 9 bc of the issue of lag time for redraws but am using X to finish a project and no longer do I see an option to turn off 3d MODEL, not Rebuild Ceilings and Floors, but to turn off the long refresh/redraw time i am experiencing of the 3 D model, has that been eliminated?

  5.    I do not think it is my computer, as I have returned to using 9 with no problems; no lag at redraws, no crashes and lightning quick. I use Chief 10 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week, pretty familiar with it. Seems like there are a few people experiencing similar issues. Can I go back and remove the Patch?

Hi all, first off another gotta have upgrade for this long time user, as CA has consistently listened to and adjusted from input from its users unlike any software product I have used. Cheers to them.

However, I have been experiencing appreciable lag time in redraws as well as crashes since I installed the patch: has any one else experienced this? Is there a way to uninstall the patch? Thanks.

  7.      Happy New Year to this great community of Chief users! I've been at it a long time, perhaps before some CA users were born, and its proven to be a fanatastic tool to use to create your dream! Some of you may enjoy the following recent videos featuring projects done in Chief Architect, it's all possible when you have experienced people building the 'vision'! Every upgrade has been worth the wait.

  8. I am not running MacFee and was trying to update Chief 9 and am getting the same error message and now cannot get the software to run. Of course I have a few deadlines and this is terrible. We should have been cautioned that there was a problem with this update; I am dead in the water. I am not able to download anything at the moment,so please is there a way to get Chief ( back up and running?

  9. I have been experiencing the same issue when switching between open windows in x9  If I use the tabs the screens switch as they should, if I use the drop down Windows menu, the lags start at a few seconds lag time to a minute or more to switch to an active window. Its not file size related, I have been using Chief since the 90's and have never had such a glitch. I have a modern ROG Asus with updated drivers etc. Its been tough to use 9 for anything as I instinctively go to the drop down Windows menu when switching between active views. This post was from back in July, has there been any progress on the resolution of this issue?

  10.   Hi all. Is it possible to have the walls auto framed at stairwells and open to below spaces in a standard platform framed style so that a wall detail shows the wall framing entirely across the wall and it isn't 'missing' because the wall framing from the walls below balloon up from below.  In plan view as well it appears as if the wall framing is missing on walls above an open to below space.  Would a floor 'box' also be auto framed in that case? Thanks.
