  1. Im considering updating to HD professional anyway. How would you do it if it were pro?
  2. Didnt realize there was a separate forum for hometalk, thanks. Any chance this is achievable (via layers?) on this product?
  3. Is there a way to do a design in Home Designer Architectural where I can keep the home build separate from a finished basement? Im going to sub out the construction of the home, but will finish out the basement once Im moved in a year or so later. I'd like to be able to turn off the finished basement in my model to only show the unfinished portion that I'd contract out but still be able to design the layout.
  4. Both great ideas but Alaskan_son's was exactly what I was trying to do. Thanks!
  5. I have the auto foundation turned on which I like because as I adjust the main floor, the basement footprint matches it. I'd like to turn off the foundation under the garage and porch; any idea how to do that while leaving the auto rebuild foundation tool on?
  6. Thanks for letting me know. Decided to get the quest 2 as it was officially supported. Ill give it a run this weekend.
  7. Im going to buy a VR headset primarily to walk through the new home im designing for my wife an I. Id prefer to get the quest 3, but the CA page only says it works with 2. Can anyone verify it works with 3?
  8. Ive seen quite a few people suggest making the basement level 1 and main floor level 2. Im already pretty far into my design and would hate to restart; is there a way to make the basement level 1 after the fact?
  9. Im very new to this software and trying to figure out how i can make some deep niches with shelves to the left and right of the living room tv. The niche tool lets me do what Im trying to do, but only goes the depth of the studs. How can i extrude that to a depth that almost fills in between these 2 walls? These walls separate the master bedroom and living room. t
