  1. Understood. Thanks for the information. This certainly opens up a new level to Chief that is worth checking out. I'll start with what I can find in Chief and see where I can go from there. Thank you for the help!
  2. Alaskan_Son, This is brilliant and worked like a charm! Is there a reference to writing these operators? Thanks so much
  3. Is it possible to create a Custom Object Field that compares two known values (like Length vs Height) and return the higher of the two values? We run piping in our design that is both horizontal and vertical. If the piping is vertical, the Height is the length of the pipe but if the piping is horizontal, the Width is the length of the pipe. I would like to create a new Custom Field that compares the two and returns the larger so I can total the column in my schedule for Total Length of Pipe. Thanks for any suggestions!
  4. Thanks DBC. I did figure this out. I had to switch the Schedule tab to show "Include in Schedule As" instead of "Auto Schedule Category" even though it showed correctly. Not sure why but it did work.
  5. I can see the Custom Field Value in the Object in the library but once I add that object to the plan, that object's field value is blank. I'm trying to get the Custom Field Value of the Object on the plan to show in the Schedule. I have an Item that is showing the field data on the schedule, but it's within a block. Any thoughts are appreciated
  6. Firstly, I am fairly new to Chief Architect (8 Months). I have found most of what I can't figure out, within these pages, so I am thankful for this resource (and to all of you for your knowledge and dedication to this board). The software is large but I am picking my way through it day-by-day. I have worked through most of the mainstream videos and tutorials and am now at a point where I am comfortable with what I know and beginning to make changes to the software to make my time in it easier (Ex: Layer Sets, Arch Blocks, Macros, etc...) With that being said, let me fire off my first question. I would like to figure out how to create a pop-up dialog box for "Warnings" or Additional Information, for example: I place an object in my plan but would like a reminder about how and when to use this item. Basically, add an item and get a dialog box with custom text. I had considered Labels but feel like there should be something easier. Is there a way to do this? Thank you all in advance for your patience with me going forward! Using Premier X15 Scott H.
