    I had this issue as well, affecting a false gable dormer (manually built dormer placed over roof-intended to be unseen from interior just to match the rythm of other dormers) but the remedy above did not work, as well as the other suggestions... I was able to fix the issue by adjusting/lengthening the handle of the roof baseline itself.
