  1. Hi! I am designing this customers cabinetry and they have one tall wall (16') that is one of their kitchen walls. I tried to do it like a dormer to create that high window, but the window goes full height and I can't have the second floor within it. Does anyone know how I could achieve this?? I'm simply looking for a wall to show this wall properly to show the customers an accurate rendering of the kitchen. Any ideas or solutions would be very much appreciated!
  2. Kitchen and bath designs, how do you go about laying out a house based on the blueprint? Do you draw the entire house? Do you draw the outline of the house and just add the applicable interior walls for the rooms you need? Or do you just draw the applicable rooms for cabinet layouts? I usually just draw each room individually, but on some larger projects where we are doing work in 80% of the rooms I wonder if I should just be drawings the footprint of the entire house? Is there an tricks or time savers for re-creating the blueprint in CA? Thanks in advance.
  3. Where could I look into this package further?
  4. Is this add on and capability something you currently sell or something you could build out?
  5. Hi. I am using CA15 and we are a custom cabinet company. I have two questions to try and streamline our production and ordering. (1) I am currently doing the designs in CA and generating a set of drawings but then we are having to manually create a cut list for the cabinets themselves and then a door/drawer front list and drawer box list. Can I produce any of these detailed list from CA? (2) Is there a way to calculate the SF of doors to be ordered? This would be very helpful for estimating. Thanks in advance.
  6. How can I manually adjust the cabinet labels or can I get them to populate in a different way? We build our own cabinets and the shop keeps re-labelling them which is confusing for everyone because they want each room to start with it's own letter (ie. Kitchen - K01, K02. Laundry - L01, L02, etc, etc) They also want the numbers to be in order, for example they run left to right around the room same as when they manually label them. How can I do this? Do I have to go into the settings on each cabinet and specify the label? When I make room specific cabinet schedules, can I somehow change the prefix for that whole room? Thanks in advance.
  7. Oh, I see, I have to manually go into each face item and adjust.
  8. Thank you both. It does work like normal in a blank file and it does update like normal if I go through the default settings. I am trying to change a number of cabinets to show a bigger handle, how can I override this setting for only certain cabinets?
  9. This feels like such a simple question but I can't figure out how to re-size a cabinet pull. When I go to the edit menu beside the pull selection and adjust the width, it saves it and says it is changed but the actually on the cabinet does not lengthen. What am I missing?
  10. Oh goodness. I knew it was so obvious, thank you.
  11. Please help me figure out why this over the range microwave is not recessed in the cabinet...? I have tried changing the microwave itself, same issue. The microwave is within the cabinet in plan view, but not in the rendering. I have not had this issue before, what am I overlooking??
  12. Is it possible to find the square footage of cabinet doors based on the drawings? Could be per room or just a total for the entire file. Looking to utilize this number for easier estimating. Thank you.
