  1. @GeneDavis THANKS! this works. its a lot of work lol, but i see what your saying about the different wall type and materials. This is the first plan i have created with this software so it will take some time learning all the proper ways to do thing. i appreciate you taking the time to assist me.
  2. I put it on a one drive. think this should work. https://1drv.ms/f/s!ArvhHoTabnLDoErLa0aVCFBD_SrI?e=KlWmF9
  3. Thanks for both you responses, I tried both and i still cant seem to get it to work. How do i post the plan? its to big to attach.
  4. I have been working on this plan and it was all working fine for the longest time, But after i did something it changed some of my cladding back to default and will not allow me to change them at all. i have tried deleting the wall and rebuilding it and still it stays the default exterior product. I have tried material dropper and painting it, going in and changing the layer property's nothing is working.. any suggestions? Front1.bmp
  5. Thanks for all the advice! i tried a bunch but the easiest was just to do it manually. Sometimes all the automation of the program does more hard then good haha, any of you know why my deck is not generating ? I built a deck below and it worked perfectly fine.. but i build it up above and everything goes wrong! haha
  6. I tried posting but the file is too big.. any suggestions? is there a different way to do it?
  7. I tried the Downwards slope and that didn't work either. I will play around with the bay/box/bow idea that might work. Well i will need to have a beam going from right to left to carry my roof truss's so i will have to have a dropped beam. so not to concerned about the ceiling height.
  8. Yeah didn't work for me as well. i have found this way that i can do it, but the problem is it creates separate rooms and hard to make it look great. but i guess there are worse things... Setting the part in yellow as no roof over top, then just extending the exterior wall and marking this section of invisible.
  9. Hey, I am trying to figure out how to place a beam in between the 2 walls so that the roof over hang will not jut out like this. I am assuming i need to put a beam in here and then the roof will continue on the same plane as the rest of the roof?? but i can't figure out how to do this. Room divider does not work..
  10. Turning off attic worked wonders! thank you. Deck Framing view is turned on both in Camera view and Framing layers are all right. I tried building a deck below and it worked.. for some reason it just wont work on the second floor..
  11. Hello, I am new to Chief and i am running into a few things i can not figure out. My deck of my Primary is not showing any framing. I am trying to get posts to show from the main level to the roof. Also i have a patio on the lower floor and the walls are showing on the second floor how do i make these disappear so you don't see them on the second floor plan? This is a reno on a existing home, i am adding a whole new part of the house over the garage. this part of the roof i am going to have 6:12 i am assuming the only way that i can make this work is by adjusting everything manually once i am done the plan and turn off auto roofs..
