Ok Thanks i will use another tool. Still doesnt solve the reason of why it goes off set. It just makes that particular tool of no use as its not accurate or doing what it should.

Hi Eric sorry bit of a beginner at this. Dimension tool is point to point. Various applications but all have the same issues. In this case pictured i have attached to a wall and when it gets to the other side of the room to connect to the opposite wall it attaches and when you finish it shows up off set to the wall.

I can select a start point, but when i select the finishing point, be it a wall or cabinet and click to finish the result is offset to the actual point required. It Leaves me uncertain that it has measured correctly or not. Any help or direct to a fix would be great thanks
