  1. Hi all, So I have had this problem before and have now tried all the solutions that worked in the past but cannot fix the intersections of 2 exterior walls and an interior wall. It leaves a gap in the drywall. I am attaching file so hopefully someone can help me. I have circled the area which is in the Family room. Also, can someone tell me why everything is showing up black? I have lost the color display for the layers. thanks!! (FYI - I had to delete the second floor & zip it due to file size.) floor plan - test.plan.zip
  2. Thank you. Just converting it to a symbol made the difference!
  3. I was wondering if there is a way to change the size of imported models from the library. For example, I import a bathtub and try to dimensions it to the correct dimensions, even maintaining aspect ratio, and it ruins the 3d model. It seems to break it to make it the correct size. Any suggestions! Thanks!
  4. Hello, I keep having an issue that when i create a stairwell opening, CA puts a door at the top of the stairs. When I try and delete the door, it deletes the stairwell opening. How do I stop this from happening? I have attached a photo. i have deleted all components of the door but it still shows posts on each side of the doorway. I also can't get the wall caps on my railing walls to connect at the corner. Any suggestions? I am using latest version of CA. Thanks!
  5. Thanks! I'll look for the video. Turns out I was doing it correctly but I thought it changed the object I had to a block when it actually creates a new one, and that one is a block, not the one I started with!
  6. This is probably a newbie question, but is there a way to combine multiple cad symbols into one item so that when you move it, they all move together? This would be useful when creating custom furniture, etc. Thanks!
  7. One of the suggestions in this link worked. Thanks!!
  8. Hi. I am a new user and am having an issue with an interior wall connecting to exterior wall corner. The interior wall keeps snapping to the intersection of the exterior corner, creating an gap in the drywall. It wont let me manually drag it back. I thought the issue was varying wall heights so I made both rooms the same height and it didn't fix it. I also thought it may have been caused by attic walls so I deleted the roof all together. I also tried the wall connect tool for the exterior walls and that didn't work. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Am attaching pics. Thanks!
