I have a covered patio where I am using 8x8 posts with beams. I want the beam to return back to the wall so I have the patio extending beyond to accomodate the thickness. I can't seem to get a clean look and my attic walls end up doing all sorts of interesting things. I have been doing patios as a room but I noticed on some of the CA example plans, they just use a solid and add a roof with posts, not sure if that is the key or not. I have the plan as well as a screen shot of the area (should help my horrible description seem more clear). POE_RESIDENCE_1.zip

Seems like this may be an issue that isn't solved very easily. Thinking I may have to find a workaround.

I am doing a set of plans for a remodel on s plit level house so the floors and ceiling are all offset from each other. When I am on my main floor, I can see the ceiling plane from the lower level cutting through the middle of my wall. Not sure if there is a setting to change or a workaround for this?

Good afternoon. I am having an issue being able to do a boxed end return on a covered patio. It keeps getting cut off by what I am assuming is the invisible wall for the patio. If I mark it no room definition and no locate, it works but I lose my room. Not sure if there is a setting I am missing or what. I know I have done it before. Any help would be awesome! I have attached a screen shot of the boxed end as well as the plan. Had to put in ZIP folder since it was saying too big. POE_RESIDENCE - Copy.zip
