  1. Wondering what the best way to make some custom stairs are? I've tried using the stair tool but I think I need a different approach for this shape? I've attached a plan view picture of the shape I'm looking for.

    T.I.A for the help.

    I gave it a shot...I did have to manually draw in the roof return. I placed notes on the roof plan view of this drawing;

    I just noticed you used rafter when you did this. Can I continue with using rafters even though the renovation will be with trusses? Or what is the best way to transfer back to the use of trusses?

    yes each "block" is just a fixed door

    Hmm okay I did the fixed door for each block but it's only allowing me to have a max of 4" thickness. I've attached a photo what I got, but not sure how to make it full wall thickness?

  4. I'm trying to get the dutch gable roof over the front porch, similar to the front of the garage but can't figure out why it won't work.

    I've attached pictures of what I'm trying to replicate as well as the file.

    use fixed glass doors. you can mull them together and they will report to schedule:

    Did you create each block separately and then put them together to create a larger window?

  6. I'm trying to create a custom block window and I am not too sure how to go about achieving this. I've attached an image of exactly what I'm wanting to recreate for a window. Any helpful hints or being pointed to a forum that will help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  7. When I go to add a backdrop it doesn't appear on the perspective view or in the rendering once I ray trace. I have the layer turned on, but still can't figure out why it won't appear. Tried searching the forum but can't find anything. What would be causing this not to appear?

    Thanks

    I think you will actually need to do what I originally suggested and not use a doorway and use a 2nd level to define the top of the doorway and a room divider to create the opening.

    Okay thanks, so anything above the door opening would be a new floor? Not sure if you can help with how I would then go about making this wall (photo attached), if everything above the door opening is considered a 2nd level. I've also attached a photo of how the actual roof sits in relation to the wall.
