  1. I know you can turn the top line display off for doorways or have it on but what I can't figure out is if you can change the dashed line to a solid line. I would like to use a solid light gray line instead of the default black dashed lines. Does anybody know where you can change this, or if you can?
  2. That is such a great idea! Much easier than drawing two additional thin segments and trying to match rise and run.
  3. Doing an as-built so we can start a remodel and the staircase is enclosed for the upper portion but open at bottom. When the open railings meet the end of the wall, they cut off the sheetrock. I tried using to adjust the finishes on the end of the wall but it doesn't seem to be working. Any help would be great. I am sure it is something that is fairly simple. I have attached a pic and the file. SPRIESTERBACH_RESIDENCE.plan
  4. I have never really used the material takeoff list function on Chief but have a client that was looking to get numbers for siding. I have a 4" wood lap siding as well as a 12" board and batten. When I generated the material list, all it showed was the 4" wood lap siding. I opened a wall that had the board and batten, went down to the component tab, and the ID says siding, the size says 4", and the description says lap siding. Is there a way to change this so when I run the materials list it will separate the two? Thanks.
  5. Here is how mine turns out. I just select section/elevation, click at back, and drag forward.
  6. Good day everybody. I have recently downloaded X13 and now seem to be having issues with my vector view linework. I make an exterior elevation and when the window opens all of the linework is blurry/messy looking. I opened one of my completed projects from X12 to look at the elevations and settings, but they are showing up blurry/messy now. I have posted the .plan file. SITKA_ADDITION.plan
  7. I have an interior wall that is intersecting an exterior wall near a framed out bay area. The interior wall doesn't intersect right at the angle on the extrior wall, there is a little bit of a return. My sheetrock is getting cut off on that little return part of the wall. I have tried messing with the wall layer extents with no luck. Also tried changing some settings. I have attached the screenshot as well as the plan file. Any help would be great! Thanks everyone. I am using CA X12 Premiere (not sure how to get it to show at bottom) FIKE_RESIDENCE.plan
