I have been concerned about upgrading to a desktop with a top tier GPU to no avail since others with 3080 cards are still experiencing issues. Even though I know my 16GB laptop w/Nvidia T1000 is way underpowered. 

On the Camera panel of the Camera Defaults dialog that opens, make the following changes:
 

• Remove the check next to Show Shadows.
• Remove the check next to Reflections.
• Remove the check next to Bloom.
• Remove the check next to Edge Smoothing when Idle.
• Set Ambient Occlusion to 0%.

So I have been semi quiet after reporting issues with X14 whilst experiencing many of the same issues listed above assuming that it was Operator or Operating Equipment errors. 

Having multiple problems the past couple of days with a new plan file created in X14 as apposed to my previously generated plans in X13. 

Also have had lagging, pausing, 0kb files and most recently a 45 min. load time on my new X14 Plan file.

All is good now and running faster than ever before!

I do not have one single fix as there were multiple things I did to help resolve the issue and figured I would list them here:

1. Manually updated my driver for NVIDIA T1000 which is not ideal but is what I have.

2. Had to Manually tell X14 to run on NVIDIA

3. Adjusted my settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel as such:

    a. Adjusted image settings to Performance as apposed to Quality. Not a Gamer.

    b. Under Manage 3D settings-Preferred Graphics-Set as NVIDIA processor-scrolled down and Turned Off Vertical sync. Not a Gamer.

    c. Under-Set Phsx Configuration-Both Monitors/Quadro T1000.

4. I turned off Auto Sync Save with One Drive.

5. Rebooted Computer.

6. I realized the images imported to the new X14 Plan File were taken at a high resolution so deleted those once I restored the lost progress, of course after waiting another 45 min. for it to load.

7. All is good now and running faster than ever before!

Moral of the story is everything seems to be happy, despite my lack of an GPU upgrade and if any other issues arise from turning One Drive auto save back on I will report further but as of now all smiles! 

Not sure if any of these things are something CA could have done differently but if so...

Ok, very odd! I saved the PDF as previewed without image and it appears fine in PDF saved document...

Problem Solved? I guess?

Yes, I was wondering about my GPU, so I did Save As like @solver suggested and same issue but only when I rotate the view on the Layout Page!

You probably need to attach the Layout and Plan files for someone to really help.

 

I believe Save As and Export to PDF do the same thing, but Help never says that.

Stepped away and sent to TS it seems that the problem only exists when I rotate the view on the layout page.

Uploading -- You uploaded the images above to the forum. You installed X14 on your computer.

Created as a CAD Detail vs rendered in Plan Views! Yes installed X14!

I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue in X14 or if it is a setting glitch?

When exporting pdf plan set you can see in my screenshot that page 2 has no content for my site plan which is the only file in this grouping that is a CAD file vs my plan files. A rudimentary Site Plan at this point I know but trying to resolve one thing at a time.

Not exactly sure how to explain this, but I have never had the issue until uploading X14. 

I have checked the parameters in the view and not sure what I am missing. 

Also attempted to Re-Link view in layout specification to no avail.

Switched Last Week and having some frustrating encounters with simple tasks like capture screen, images are black... 

Beyond the new features you have to wonder what is going wrong with the simplest tasks.

Actually, just had to group select the beams and remove the tail profile. Problem solved!

Also the question: 

is unclear at least to me what you are trying to achieve.  Do you have a pic of what you want it to model as?  Also in the future try using a vector view instead of standard and please don't make a pdf as anyone who wants to try to help has to download that to their computer to look at it.  If you use the windows screen clipping tool you can upload or just drag the resulting pic into the forum and we can view it directly in your post.

"Roof Beams Appear as Solid Timbers not I-Beams as Preferred."

I have a small insignificant detail problem that I wish to resolve and wonder if anyone has a Tip or Trick to fixing the fact that my Steel I Beams show up perfectly in my Posts and Deck patio beams but not in my roof beams.

I have changed all of my defaults to I Beams in my settings to no avail, just curious if this a detail I will have to learn to live with or a glitch in Chief?

Also I would like my I beams to show in the interior walls and imagine in order for this to happen I will need to create a niche and paint it black steel? Correct?

Any insight on why my deck stairs will not wrap? In x12 Premier.

I verified auto wrap and built my stairs on foundation level.

I feel like I have wasted entirely too much time and figured there must be something I am missing!

I understand saving the plan file, Not sure if I can import to another plan to utilize the same settings profile? i.e. A common solarium I might use. 

Understandably as a new user I am sure I will become more proficient with experience just curious if I should be saving these work-ups some where accessible?

New to Chief, my question is when creating a solarium or anything else like a timber frame pergola which takes a fair amount of work!

Would it be best to import as an Template or Create a Layer Set? 

Any advice would be appreciated,
