  1. I am going to try my best to explain my confusion in hopes someone will be able to help. I have built a house on Chief architect design. It records the house as being 2765 sf. I thought this was strange because I looked at a plan of a Australian floor plan of a house that was 400 sq f. Both houses, the one I built and the australian floor plan house have the same numbers of rooms. Now I understand that its about the size of the room. My rooms are pretty much all the same size as this house. So I opened a new floor plan and draw a space that was 400 sq ft and it was tiny. I used the interior decorating tool to place furniture in the area and all i could fit was one a few items before it was full. Which doesn't at all make sense. I am starting to think that 2765 ft in American terms may be different to Australian sq f. Because this isn't making sense. I tried again, and I though okay I will draw my garage and put two of the cars on the cheif design in the space. The program told me that, that space was 400 sq ft. My entire house that I live in currently in Australia is 670 sq ft. So how it is possible that one garage can be 400sq ft on the program when in real life I know its not. Am I missing something. Am I not converting right? Someone please help cause this is driving my partner and I crazy and we know some thinks not right. This is out first time using the program.
