Thank you both. Curved Roof !. MAGIC

Would any one know how to make the GRP bay window canopy or where to get the ready made symbol from?
-
Thanks all for the feedback

The image shows a cad drawn structural lintel in a section view. Is there a way of embedding this within the door or window specification so it is automatically drawn? Thanks in advance

The default angle of the roof beam is vertical but I would like to place it perpendicular to the rafter. Can someone please advise me how it can be done? The upper beam is drawn in cad.
-
To create a symbol, do you mean using "Cad detail from view" and copy and past the cad contour lines and convert them to elevation lines?
-
Thank you Michael for that tip. The simple slope was just to get the practice. The real plot is featured in the video above with the imported data. Practice and tips will help in the learning process.

Thank you Rob & Larry I understand that this is the best CA can do and have to iron out the bulges manually. Without your tips, it would have been difficult to workout how to do it. The attached video shows what my intension was. I wish CA had more videos addressing these issues. Thanks again Recording #286.mp4

I have followed the above steps and create a level elevation area but don't know why I am till getting the weird transition lines. Can someone please see what I am doing wrong in the attached video and plan file. Will send video in the next post Terrain1 Elevation line4.plan

Thank you Rob & Larry I see that the conflicting data is causing all the issues I broke and deleted all the elevation lines crossing the retaining wall as Rob suggested and it works fine. It is bit time consuming as I could not trim the elevations lines using trim or subtract tools as they do not appear to work on elevation lines. Thank you Larry for taking the time out to do the video. I was trying to do exactly that but for some reason it got messed up. I will watch your video several times to see where I was going wrong. This was a simple trial to experiments. The aim is to insert a low level plot within imported terrain data. I have the file with elevation points and not the elevation lines. My initial thought is first to convert the plot to elevation break or create a retaining wall Delete all the elevation points within the site boundary Create elevation region and set the level to the required value Thankyou guys. You have saved me days of work.

Tried gradual elevations lines and still generates unusual elevations. Has any of the experts from the forum done any videos on their You Tube channels? Terrain1 Elevation line2.plan

Thank you Robert. This was just a simple start to demonstrate the issue. The building in your clip is not at 0 level but at the average automatic level. I would have gone onto drawing the retaining walls around and away from the building and generating pavement path and maybe steps up from the rear of the building. I did try your suggested method of generating manual elevation lines but then every time I place another flat region or a cut, the terrain regenerates in a weird fashion

The price of the annual licence is way too much. CA can increase the prices of SSA for perpetual licences to the same cost as the annual licence making your perpetual licence worthless. There sales policy has been fierce. By not allowing 'Save as' to the previous version has forced people to keep upgrading. I hav not come across many companies introducing minor changes and then releasing a new version every year and that with full of bugs. With my SSA, I have been eligible for x14 since its release and have not yet downloaded it, just for the fact that I will be testing their bugs out for the next 6 months. I think I need to look a the alternative softwares. I simply don't like their sale policies.

Just doing that and been on it for two and half years but have to do ongoing projects in between. Thank you for your help

Thank you Rob I did not know the Cross Section lines existed and that is something new I have learnt. I deleted the gable line and the two lines are still there and they are useful but just trying to determine what they are. I added the second layer to the rafter but it does not show in the section. I have attached 2 videos demonstrating the process. Thank you for your help. Recording #232.mp4 Recording #233.mp4

Thank you Mick I have not drawn the rafter like Robert says and there is no backclip on the section. It may be the facia line that I see but it does the job for me for preparing the section without adding the framing. What I cannot figure out is why the bottom line is showing on one file and not the other. File attached above.
-
Thank you Robert but in the second clip, the structure line is showing and there is no rafter framing drawn. I have attached the plan for the second clip. Do you note anything different that is allowing for the bottom roof structure line to be seen? Roof structure line showing.plan
