  1. Well, it seems like shift works some times, but not always...idk.
  2. In Bluebeam, for instance, if I hold shift it will only allow a straight line. Thanks!
  3. This happens pretty often. I have adjusted some of the wall heights as it was not getting it right on the auto. But even when I reverted to default heights, the frieze didn't show (on most). I've tried all different variations on the DB. My client wants just the fascia and frieze (7/8" each). It also won't recognize this area as a room. Thanks! Farr Residence v08.10.23.zip
  4. That mostly worked. Sill adjusted a little in Bluebeam. Thanks!
  5. I just imported the pdf of the drawing and used CAD tools to draw the balcony. Thanks, Biggers Residence Rail.pdf Oval Rail.zip
  6. It's for a restau r ant remodel and will be built over the main bar at the entrance. I know I can find modelers on Upwork, but want someone who uses Chief, also. I also need the building modeled. I have pics and the floor plan. Need to add a vestibule like the entrance on the side where the fireplace is showing. email is terry@5designllc.com Thanks! 7. Never mind. Thought I had auto rebuild on, but didn't. Can't see how to delete the post.
  8. Crikey. That's funny. Was wondering how it was so small 4524 Merida 02.06.23 (2).zip
  9. Here you go. Checked the wall dbx on a couple and the bottom was off for some reason, but didn't change anything when corrected. End of the day it's not a huge deal, it's a 10ft plate. It's usually correct (except it adds a bunch of them that I don't want or need because of attic walls). And speaking of which, I don't know of anyone who builds walls inside the attic. Is there a way to avoid that? There are occasions where a wall will go through the attic to get to a plate, but Chief just comes up with random walls a lot. The snip is from the plan attached just off the front bedroom and entry, as an example. Thanks! 4524 Merida 02.06.23.zip
  10. Yeah, same on both. Plan's too large. It's a pain. Just thought someone may have had the issue before. Thanks!
  11. I built the truss using poly solids and it's just on the porch. Wall detail has yet a different dim. F@#$%g Chief! Thanks for the input!
  12. Any ideas as to why or how to fix it? I've checked all room ceiling heights and they are right. Should be 10 - 1 1/8. Roof specs show it right.
  13. Very interesting. Will definitely considerthis. Thanks for your feedback!
  14. Yeah, if there's anything that goes beyond some simple beam calcs, I get an engineer to do it. Really just wanted to be able to automate the takeoff so I can offer it as a perk to wrangle up new business. Thanks for the input!
  15. Interesting. I knew they were supposed to roll that out at some point, but had forgotten about it. Will look into. Thanks!
  16. My comment on the plates was regarding the reporting. If I select buy lengths it will sometimes use pre-cut stud lengths. And I'm not aware of such a software, which is why I was looking for suggestions. And a 30x50ft floor framing isn't a challenge, it's an entire 7000ft house.
  17. Understood. But can you do that for each room? I just think it should be programmed in based on current span tables.
