  1. I am a builder in Washington State, looking to hire a draftsman to complete plans. We are starting to get busy building and due to my poor skills at using Chief, I am getting behind on turning plans around. I currently use X6 Premier and a successful candidate would need to run the same program. We use a local engineer to mark up drawings for the structural work and then input the information on to the drawings, which he in turn reviews and can then stamp the drawings for permit. Our need is for someone who can work on the drawing with us, not someone who takes the plan and re inputs it into there format. Some of the custom work has multiple changes and I often sit at my desk with the customer and perform changes while they watch, so we need to be able to access and work on the plan. Respond here or email us at: aac@olypen.com
  2. Please help; How can I get Chief to locate the Rough Openings correctly. I have tried modifying the defaults by using the Rough Opening button, with and with out the Sides button and neither way is accurate. With out the sides active, the RO is an inch to big on windows. With the sides and RO clicked it shows a extra 1/2'' on the sides. With just the sides the center or framing between multiple windows is an inch to big, the three inches is increased to 4". If I try using the center locate, I still end up with 4 inches between the windows when there should only be 3 inches Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
