Never mind - I just added another roof plane and added the 2x4 rafters.

Is there an existing discussion on Chief Talk to create a vented over-roof? I am using Building Science Corporation design pattern (insight 145) for creating a roof. Looking for 11 7/8" i-joists to terminate at the walls and then have 2x4 rafters above it to create the over-hang. Figure 6 of the PDF shows the design pattern.
