Ok thats what I figured, thank you for the help.

Im creating a stairwell into a finished basement with furred walls. When I create a stairwell to the 2nd level it automatically covers the floor structure, but not when I build into the basement next to the foundation wall. Do i need to change the settings for my foundation, or edit the thickness of the exterior wall on the 1st level and add a furred wall so they match up?
