  1. I apologize for the lack of information. I will update my signature when I get home this evening since some of the information I need is on my home computer. For now, I am running windows 10 on a 1 year old Dell that is set up for gaming so it is fairly powerful. I am using Home Designer Pro 2019. Solver, to answer your questions: It is not an Auto Dormer. I do not understand what it takes to make the ridges match. I don't know about the exploding the dormer and working with it manually. I am fairly comfortable with manual roofs.
  2. I am trying to create a house with a shed dormer on one side. I followed a knowledge base article that instructs on how to do this but my results are a little off. The peak of the shed dormer is not aligned with the peak of the main roof. Also, I would like to have the main wall of the shed dormer aligned with the first floor wall (as indicated by the curved arrow in the attached picture). I cannot figure out how to do this. When I try to move this wall in the plan view to align with the wall below it, it will not align, it either stops short of being aligned or jumps right past it. In the attached picture I show that the short section of roof would be gone (the squiggly line), only the side pieces would remain.
