Thanks. One last question. I was told when purchasing Home Designer Pro that it would be an easy transition to Chief Architect if I chose to upgrade. Would you agree with that opinion?

I want to put a roof deck on the room that has no ceiling. I just began using the pro version and am not great at it after having used 2d most of the time. Since the upper floor rooms all join it was hard for me to create a gable roof over only a portion of the upper floor without creating an exterior wall on the interior so CA thought it was an outside wall. I then ended up deleting the ceiling of the area I wanted to place the roof deck to build the deck. I suspect I have made a mess out of this plan but need to repair what I've done rather than start again. Lessons are being learned here with my mistakes.

Does anyone know how to create a roof deck on top of the second floor adjacent to another roof structure. Or even cut in a roof deck on and existing roof line?
