  1. Starting at pg 18 in the layout... I'd like to do this with the laundry cabinet as well as "his closet" on the next few pages. On this layout, I just inserted screenshots of the "no doors" look in both rooms.
  2. Ugh... yes. At the risk of being judged very harshly. I'm an Occupational Therapist/turned cabinet drawer... so please be nice. https://db.tt/1yb8GnS8w0 And, yes, I know it's easy peasy... but it's not working.
  3. When CA upgrades the program, does it affect the way prior versions work?
  4. Agreed, but this isn't working when I do it. Even when I send it to layout and click that box, as soon as I go back and change the layer set used on the elevation, it immediately changes the one I just sent to layout. Which, now that I have tried it again... the only way it doesn't is if I don't click "update always"... like "M" said. This was not necessary the last time I did this.
  5. A closet with several cabinets in it. But, to figure out how, I have opened a new plan and am using just these three base cabinets.
  6. In case you are wondering if doors/drawers is actually unchecked.
  7. I asked this question before, got help, figured it out. Now, I'm trying to do what I did before and it is not working. I am at a loss. All I want to do is send two different views of a wall elevation to the layout... one normal section view set, and then a "no doors" layer set that I created by copying the section view and then unchecking "cabinet doors/drawers". It worked before... a couple months ago. Now, when I send my "no doors" layer set view to layout and then go back and change the active layer set to the section view set (with doors) and then send it to layout, the original view that I sent to my layout changes to the "with doors" view. THEN... when I go into the layout and click on the layer set button at the bottom which indicates which layer set its using, it SAYS it's using the no doors view... when it has obviously changed to the "with doors" view. I have tried to copy the layer set and rename it before sending it to layout and that is not working either. It changes whenever I make a change outside of the layout. I simply want to show a closet with and with doors... I know it's possible. I've done it before. If I sound frustrated, I am. I have tried for over an hour to figure this out. I have read articles and watched videos. If this makes sense to you at all and you feel like helping out, I would be ever so grateful. I would happily pay anyone to fix this problem for me. I am using X9 because I need to finish the projects I'm working on before trying to figure out the newer versions and how to switch everything over. The picture I have attached shows that the layout box clearly indicates it is using the "no doors" layer set, even though the doors are very visible! Thanks ahead of time to anyone who has time to help.
  8. I feel like there is a simple answer to this, but I haven't found it yet. I can't believe I haven't run into this problem before. I need the tall cabinet on the right to have 2 tall doors, however inside it will have a pull out laundry basket and various shelves as shown in the pic. I can't figure out how to make this happen, because when I split up the inside of the cabinets, the doors split up as well. My fix is to just show a screen shot of the cabinet with the doors off so the client can see the inside configuration. Is there a way to get this done without having to do that?? Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your time.
  9. But then wouldn't it look like a door? It has to look like drawers but will act like a left hinged door. I drew some cad lines on it that get the job done, but wondered if there was a better way, since I'd rather not do that every time I run into this... which is often. Often, I have clients who want the look of drawers to function like doors... even when not appliances.
  10. See the Ice machine next to the micro? I want it to appear like it will open like a left hinged door... which it will. Recommendations to make it so without drawing lines? I wouldn't draw the ugly red line... that was just for y'all/ or you guys (if you aren't southern)! Thanks.
  11. Thank you for the tip. I need all I can get. I like the white point markers much better. Not sure about dimension grid lines. Will have to look that one up!
  12. Thank you for the article. I was under a time crunch, but quickly read it and was able to achieve what I wanted. I still need to practice, so I understand exactly what is happening, but this will do for today! I should have asked this a while ago. I tell myself I need to spend a certain amount of time each day watching training video's, etc, because I know there is a LOT I don't know that would make this so much easier and quicker. One day at a time... You all are great for helping people out like you do! Melissa
  13. This makes perfect sense too and seems to give me the result I'm looking for... except that layer sets intimate me and I have not taken the time to learn exactly how to use them, sadly. I will. Thank you for reminding me how lazy I am!
  14. That is what I have used up to this point, but I don't find that it shows up as good on pdf's. Just not clear enough.
  15. Yep, glad I asked! I would not have thought of that! Thanks
  16. Please forgive my lack of experience... I might not explain this perfectly. In my layout, I am wanting to show the configuration of shelving/drawers, etc by removing the cabinet doors/drawers in the camera view. However, I don't want this to be the case for EVERY wall elevation. Is there a way to leave the doors/drawers off for some rooms, but not have that reflected on the layout view for ALL wall elevations? Thanks for whatever help you can give!
  17. Thank you! Since I am pretty sure we don't put icemakers in cabinets, I left it out and was planning to just fill in the countertop with a custom countertop. I placed 2 appliances in cabinets side by side on a recent plan/job and our custom manufacturer left out a necessary panel in between them, so I was trying to draw it more accurately. This fixed my problem so thank you so much. ** Thanks for pointing out the fact that I had a trash compactor instead of an icemaker in there! Took me a few min, but I found the ice maker! **
  18. I've never sent an entire plan before. Do I have to back up the plan to attach it here? I have just attached my plan file, so if that doesn't work, I can try to back it up and send that file. The issue I'm having is in the Kitchen. Weber-White.plan
  19. Can anyone explain to me why these appliances must be moved in front of where they actually are in order to show up in the correct place? They are correct in camera modes but not on the floorplan. If I put them in the correct place in the floorplan, they are not correct in other views. How can I fix this? Thanks for your time and for saving me some! Melissa
  20. Here is what I came up with... I think it'll do. It's a pic of the actual grill/mesh used in the pic I posted originally. Robert, your's looks even better. I added it to my library, but it wouldn't open it (due to it being created with X10, it said). Thanks again to both of you.
  21. I need to replicate the panel on the attached picture for some "locker" cabinets I am doing. Any suggestions on the best way to achieve this? It will be made out of a mesh kind of material with the X designs out of metal I believe. Just as long as it looks similar to the pic... doesn't have to be exact. I don't think the "button/circles" are necessary. Hoping there is something simple-ish. Thank you. Melissa
  22. They are in the process of widening HWY 98 right now to help with traffic. It just gets busier and busier every year. Come in October/November...
