  1. I have fought with this program for week, trying to make the roof do what I want it to do. I finally did enough roof pane stretching to get the roof I want, but it has left holes on gable ends. One hole goes through to the rooms below, and the other just seems to be an area without siding. Any ideas?
  2. I suppose I can't do this either, but I'm trying to label part of my design on a split level as it's own floor. For some reason, when I change the height of the kitchen, bedroom ceilings which are supposed to be 46" higher drop to match the kitchen ceiling. If I raise the bedroom ceiling back up, the kitchen ceiling becomes 13 feet tall
  3. I can't seem to find the Floor Value. This is what I'm getting on the Structure Tab. But I'm still looking
  4. Wow, that's fantastic! You're obviously much further up the knowledge curve than I am! :-D
  5. I designed a multi level home with sleeping area simply having elevated floors, but drawn as the same level. Is there any way to split my design, and designate the living area level one, and the sleeping are level 2?
  6. I've gone through some videos about split-levels, but I'll go through them again. I've got the home laid out; I'm still trying to find something to address this problem specifically. Starting at the top would be difficult for a cape cod style, which essentially depends on the lower level to dictate what's available upstairs
  7. How do I stop Chief Architect from changing multiple rooms/levels when I change the ceiling height of one room? On a split level house, if I change the height of the kitchen, all the walls on the adjoining level drop to the height of the kitchen wall. So the kitchen wall is 9 feet, and the bedroom walls are 5 feet. If I change the bedrooms back, the kitchen wall becomes 14 feet tall. The kitchen isn't even touching the exterior wall between the two levels. I've tried room dividers to separate the two. I've only had the program for a couple weeks, and I'm at a standstill.
