Yeah, I guess my thought was that saltbox outbuildings are becoming popular because of solar tax credits so there should be a default template for saltbox architecture.

Funny. I have the same question. I want to build a 3-car garage with a saltbox roof to accommodate solar panels. I want a 5-12 pitch on the south facing roof and I'm having a devil of a time.

Sorry that so much time has evolved since the last post (2017). During much of that period, I was involved in doing a lot of inside changes (upgrade plumbing, wiring, etc.) but very little of a structural nature or exterior. Plus career changes put a lot of things on hold. That will change this summer for which I'll need more detailed drawings in order to get the appropriate permits.
