I have windows and I am having the same issue and I'm freaking out cause I have a project due. I can't get a rendering to show up in any of the standard views until I uncheck the enhanced lighting feature in the preference tab, but the image is black. I updated everything, did system diagnostics, even compatibility checks and they all came out fine.

I can't get renderings to show using the standard view. Only way it will show is if I unclick enhanced lighting, but rendering is dark and horrible. Please help
