  1. No, the interior walls don't touch the exterior walls.
  2. While creating a finished basement plan, when I draw the last side of an interior room a room divider appears. Is always appears on the top/upper wall. It has happen on several plans. Is there a way to turn automatic function off? Untitled 3.plan
  3. Thanks for posting the 2nd video; that seem much easier than the first video. I have a couple of questions about both videos: 1. What view are you using in the 1st and 2nd videos? I upgraded to x10; but, still can't locate that view. 2. In video 1, you were able to break the roof line. What are the commands to do this technique? I tried several, including break line to no avail.
  4. I am trying to add a 2nd gable as shown in the picture below, to avail. I have tried everything I know, but have not been successful. Hence, I am hoping someone can help me with this dilemma. I have uploaded the plan. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Lot 44 plan 2b.plan
  5. I was able to play with the Break Line tool and got it to work. I'm still not sure what I did to make it work. I just double clicked the edge of the area I wanted to remove; sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. It took several hours to remove the bands from in front of the windows on the front of the house. I got frustrated and just removed the Poly-line for the rest of the house. I would have expected it would work like the Break Wall tool, but it didn't. I wish there was a better explanation as to how the tool worked. Plus, I'd like to know if I could have multiple poly lines...I'll contact support to ask. Thanks for your help. Tim
  6. I am following the steps in knowledge base article: http://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00070/ I get to step 8 and can't get the Break Line to break the polyline that goes over a window. 8. If your belly band molding goes through a door, or window, return to floor plan view. 9. In floor plan, select the Molding, then use the Break Line edit tool to place a break on either side of the door, or window, opening. 10. Select the segment and click on the Open Object edit tool to display the Molding Polyline Specification dialog again. What am I doing wrong? I even tried to place the break on the wall to no avail. Once I can get the break line to work, the rest seems pretty easy to understand; time will tell. I'm still using X4...I know I need to upgrade; I will after I finish my current project. File is attached. Thx for your assistance. Tim
