How to link bluetooth measurement tool with Chief on MacOs system?

We have been using the Leica Disto X4 for a while and are happy with it to take measurements BUT .... I haven't been able to connect it with the app successfully on either iPhone / iPad. Next I was hoping to try to connect it with Chief in some way ..... anyone had success with this? -
Can CA files created on a Mac be viewed by the Windows version of Viewer?
