  1. Does anyone know if there's a way to apply R-values to individual materials to calculate a wall's total R-value? I've tried looking in the materials list and the define wall types GNU, but I'm not really finding what I'm looking for. Does Chief Architect even have that functionality or do we have to calculate that by hand still? Any help on this would be appreciated.
  2. Never mind. I figured it out. I forgot to click the "do not locate" when I drew in those half walls. Everything started working as I needed once I did that.
  3. I'm having a little trouble placing rotated cabinets against a curved wall. I get the cabinet near the wall and the cabinet rotates to some random angle it thinks is right. I try to rotate it to the angle I want, but it keeps popping back. I've even tried angling my cabinets, making them a block, then moving them into place against the wall, and the cabinets rotate in the block, which I didn't think they could do as a block. Is there a way to make the cabinets rotation not dependent on wall geometry?
  4. So it seems like it's doable just takes a bit more patience and planning than regular. How did you display the building options and separate elevations (A, B, C, etc.) on the plans? Did you draw out each option in the plan and have a separate plan file for each completed option? Or did you have a separate option or elevation page that just showed the affected area you would go to then copy and paste it into the architecture?
  5. I would like to use CA instead of AutoCAD for my production architecture clients because I feel CA catches more and gives better feedback on design, but I'm not sure how one would set up building options or multiple elevations in CA though. Would I have to create a plan with each building option and elevation drawn out and then using viewports display the options and elevations? Does anyone else use CA for production architecture, not just customs?
