Thanks for the quick reply. I fiddled around until I found the import PDF function. I had a PDF printout of the plan I needed. I imported it and resized it until the scale was right and just went through drawing walls over the PDF. Again, thanks so much for your prompt reply. The only experience I had was with the old Broderbund version of 3D Home Architect. There is no version number on the CD, so I guess it's the original release. I really loved that program and am sure I'll love the Home Designer Pro.

I just bought Home Designer Pro 2016 and am trying to open a plan I made using 3D Home Architect. I called support and they told me I need to find someone with an old version of Chief Architect that can open my plan and save it as a newer version. I'm just trying to get the floor plan so I don't have to redraw the whole thing. The file suffix is pl1. Thanks in advance.
