Best practices for slab-on-grade slab penetrations

I'm about to start marking up all of the drainpipe slab penetrations in a slab-on-grade plan.  I couldn't find anything at all showing how others have approached this and I'm looking for a good approach.  My thought was to use either a Point Marker 638419113_AA8DB72B-5E31-4FEE-BF38-CAC656065E15.png.35dcee46f93c741f97f474ffcd930cf5.png or "BMW" marker 900829852_E9AE1489-1079-4DFE-8B8B-B17C0920A376.png.81479f6e5fee5513daf99bcd5c9ae71a.png and then set up a special Dimension layer with dimensions attached to these, to show measurements from the edges of the slab forms so that the PVC can be placed precisely when the forms go up.  Am I thinking about this correctly?
