Issues when using and creating line styles using text

Hello. New to the forum. New to Chief. (Loooong time AutoCAD user)

I have searched and cannot find anything related to this.

When I am using the default line styles, the text does not show up unless I zoom way in. This is in the plan and layout alike.

I created a new line style with larger text but nothing seems to change. Is there a way to create a line style that shows the text at a set size regardless of the scale of the plan/layout?
