Westhousing
I am building a house with a gable roof with a bump out for a bedroom on the left side and a garage bumpout on the right. When i create my roof planes manually, i can get the roof to look like the simple roof i want it to be. But when i have the program auto build the roof, it adds 3 extra roof planes at all different angles. Is there a way to get the program to "auto-build" just one roof plane at a time? I just want to make sure that when i manually create the planes, it will build my trusses correctly. Or how would i go about fixing whatever is making the program build the planes at different heights? I've attached my manually drawn roof planes and the auto-built difference. The walls are the same in both.
Westhousing
Thanks so much for the help. I've included my plan file to help with any suggestions. Ashford.plan
Westhousing
Thank you so much! Would you happen to know why the overhang of the roof does not reach the 12" it's set to (even when i re-built the roof using auto build)? Is this another easy fix? Westhousing
Thank you. I've went ahead and changed all of this but it is not fixing the issue that i see. On the right side of the plan, the garage wall with gutter is lining up with the gable wall without gutters. The soffits to be the same overhang. So the gutters would hang out farther than the 12" soffit. Am i missing something?
Westhousing
I would like to see the soffit line of the roof over the garage and roof over the gable be the same and line up. Not the gable soffit line and the gutter line on the garage. The gutter should hang over past the soffit. I want the soffit to be consistent down the entire side of the house plan.
