GERsharon2
We are doing a basement renovation, where we are lowering the floor in order to create greater ceiling height. This involves demolishing the existing basement floor and building a new foundation stem wall and footing inside the existing foundation. The footing on this new foundation is asymmetrical. It's exterior is flush with the new foundation stem wall and extends 3 feet into the basement. Can you create an asymmetrical footing on a foundation wall? That is, where there is no exterior footing but a substantial interior footing.
