Seeking Architectural Drafter In Grand Rapids, Mi

We are a Custom Home Builder in the Grand Rapids area looking to expand our architectural design department.  Chief Architect and AutoCad software are used to develop our home plans. 

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

•Design Skills

•Collaborate with Interior Designers and Sales to develop design concepts for residential homes.

•Quickly, efficiently and accurately work in 2D CAD and Chief Architect software to create custom home floor plans and elevation drawings for both client presentations and final construction document sets.

•Produce revision drawings.

•Conduct quality control check for your projects.

•The typical hours of the position are 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•Associates Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture.

•Architectural license is not required.

•3-5 years of experience creating architectural or interior design construction documents, and ability to develop custom construction details.

•Experience reading and interpreting specification sections.

•Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD Architecture.

•Proficiency in Chief Architect or similar 3D design software

•Demonstrated experience working successfully with cross-functional team members.

•Verbal and written communication skills.

•Demonstrated understanding and interest in design technology, materials, and processes.

•Proficient in office productivity software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
