How can I hide various layers in a layout? I am doing an alteration and the plan is small enough to have the existing and proposed floor plans side by side on the same sheet. I am using the layout box layers function and all works fine until I go back to the actual drawing or go to a different layout sheet. As soon as I return to the offending sheet, all the layers I have hidden are now visible again. Any ideas please? Baz I'm still using X2 and will be for some time yet

Hi all Can someone please enlighten me on what would be the ultimate (or perhaps the minimum) specs for a laptop to run Chief on? There is so much conflicting information out there that I thought it best to ask those who really know. I need to replace my desktop and thought a laptop might be the way to go (as long as I can run at least two screens off it!) Thanks for that Baz

Thanks for that Dan I think that has made my mind up for me - looks like I'll be upgrading from XP to W 8.1 afterall

Has anyone any experience of running CA on a Linux machine? I am getting fed up with windows and know a couple of people running Ubuntu and they love it! It is time for me to upgrade my computer so I'm exploring all options I can think of. Cheers Baz
