How come you haven't contacted tech support yet?

I was under an impression this is a widely spread defect, reported by many, and dev are working on fixing it.

I didn't want to open yet another support ticket for a well-known issue

  2. got it. It really sucks, especially when you want to play with different parquet materials and find out that you need to start drawing each and every one of them yourself and manipulating the material..

Thanks, it really helps (at least I know that it's not something I did wrong but that it's not possible that way)

  3. Hi

I've spent many hours and keep failing. I'm trying to put a parquet floor, but instead of a standard tile structure it keeps making it as in the below picture

, whereas I want it to look as a "brick layout"

how I want it to look:

I tried to play with the patterns but to no avail. Even when I tried to use "courtyard" fill, it doesn't affect the layout (see below).

    What am I doing wrong?

  4. Hello

I used the room layer display to show the interior square size per each room.

I want to make sure it's the correct size and that is covers my entire livingroom/kitchen/hall   - is there a way to color the room on the plan?

  5. I have been using X12 for a long time on a daily basis. I have a strong machine with a strong gfx card.

Starting today, whenever I try to load any of my plans, it fails when opening the camera with the following error.

When I try a brand new plan with 4 walls, it works.

Does it happen to anyone else? I tried dozens of my plans, they all fail on camera view

  6. The thing is that I have a LOT of 3d objects in this plan. No idea where I got each of them and it will be hard to go one by one.

I was hoping for a way for each plan to sort its components by size or anything simple as that

  7. I created a detailed plan with many 3d objects.
The size is 354Mb and every little thing I change creates an undo file of ~500mb. This really slows down my ability to work and eats up my drive.

How can I reduce the size?

At least, how can I know what are the biggest things taking up the disk-space within my file? is there a simple way of doing so?

  8. First, You're right regarding the signature. I updated it but for now:

    Chief Architect Premier X10
    Windows 7, I5-6200U, Intel 520 HD on-board GFX card

As for template plans and layout - how can I save the settings for a specific plan that I'm using?

  9. Every time I open Chief Architect the following settings are not saved:

    1. On the render screen "technique options". I keep needing to change the "Physically Based" camera exposure and brightness

    2. Number of lights are always defaulting back to 8 after I close the problem and I need to manually change it to a larger number

Is that a known issue? How can I fix it?

  10. I have the same annoying behavior.
Lights are on;  As soon as I change a material for one of the objects in the room, lights are off again.
Rebuilding the camera (sometimes) fixes the problem. Sometimes changing the material of an object puts the lights back on.

bottom line, something is very buggy with this behavior.
