Doesn't seem like I'm doing any of the things wrong you suggested, but I appreciate your help. I'll look into the signature. I rarely use this very useful source of info, but should more and want to use it as best and most correct when I do.

On most exterior nighttime ray trace I'm getting unwanted light reflected in some areas. Light appears near corbels or brackets and where the soffit on a gable rake comes down to a corner on top of a lower roof. I've tried lowering reflectivity of surfaces, but they still appear. I also get it on interior images above wall cabinets or high surfaces against walls. Any ideas? 

That fixed it, Thank you both very much. Also really cool how it works, going through checking items someone could miss.

Added a basement, no problem and it does show the living area. Not sure why.

Not sure why, total living area is not showing on a project i'm doing. All layers on and all rooms appear to show areas?
