Well do you remember what you might have done to cause it?

Has anyone had the issue of the program splicing an exterior wall and not allowing it to be just one? See picture below

Did not mean to post last one. But how am I able to make a gable/dormer like this?

I was trying to make an exterior wall 30'. As I drew the wall it split it in two. They are still connected but I'm trying to place garage doors and it is very frustrating. Also everyte I delete either exterior or interior walls a attic wall pops up in its place. What am I doing wrong?!
