We are a Colorado-based design-build company seeking a skilled Chief Architect draftsperson to support our growing team with detailed plan sets and construction documentation.
Our company specializes in residential remodeling and custom design, and we are looking for someone who is highly proficient in Chief Architect X17 and understands how to translate design intent into clear, accurate, builder-friendly drawings.
About the role:
This position will focus on creating and refining Chief Architect plan sets for residential design-build projects. The right person will be detail-oriented, efficient, communicative, and comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities may include:
Creating detailed plan sets in Chief Architect X17
Drafting floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
Assisting with design development and construction documentation
Revising plans based on team feedback, field measurements, and client updates
Coordinating drawings to align with design intent, selections, and build requirements
Organizing plans in a clean, professional, and consistent format
Supporting our design-build team with accurate and timely drafting
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Chief Architect X17
Experience creating residential construction drawings and plan sets
Understanding of residential remodeling and/or design-build workflows
Ability to read and interpret design concepts, dimensions, and construction details
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team
Colorado-based preferred, but open to discussing the right fit
