  1. In other software such as Revit, it is possible to select an object and pin it to avoid accidental moving. This helps to keep working on the other elements in the same layer while a specific element is pinned. In addition you can put your view in two different modes: you can select pinned elements to just see their properties or you can use the mode that makes it impossible to select the pin elements. However I can't find a similar option in CA. From online search I found out the most you can do, is to create a layer for those elements and control them by locking the layer. This is not efficient due to the number of back and forth you have to do every time you need to select an element in that later and unlock the whole category. In addition, this makes the rest of the elements in that layer vulnerable to be accidental move while doing an edit on a different element in that layer. Does anyone has a better solution? Thank you
  2. How to control where the file is saved in version 17? I am working in version 17. I started a new project directly from dashboard. In order to find the location that this file is saved, I tried using "save as" under File tab but it is not available. Then I tried "make a copy" under file tab. It made a copy but didn't provide the location that files are automatically saved. afterwards I checked preferences under edit tab. in there, under "General" section, under "folder" I found the address of Data folder where it saved the back up versions of my file under "Archives" folder. I copied the latest saved version into my desired location. My question is, did they eliminate the "save as" option under File tab? Is there a better way to find the location of the file and relocate it? or is there a way to designate the desired location upon creation of the file?
