Today I use export and import function, but it is not satisfying, because for instance the user catalog is not exported with the project. So I have to think to export it too. I always forget something... and I fear to have at the end discrepancies between the two workplaces.

Hello, I search already the forum about this topic, but I didn't find a clear answer. I am working at 2 different places on my property (depending on mood and weather). At each place, I have a strong desktop PC. I use a private cloud to have all my files shared between the 2 places (Office files, Rhinoceros files, Adobe files...). The cloud is based on an own NAS system that is defined like a local HD. It has the advantage of being managed locally, and backed up automatically. I am working alone, so there is no online sharing, no risk of conflicts and I switch my CA license from one computer to the other in function of where I am working. Is it possible to indicate to the CA file management system to change the file location and to have it all on a cloud and not on a local directory under your userid? This should be just a parameter in the properties, but I don't find it.

Thank you everybody... I found the paste and hold position command in the menu. I was lost because the pasting icon disappears from the status bar once you change floor level. I didn't see that the function was still active in the drop-down menu.

@Scottharris The object is at its right position but has a wrong floor level. Example : Floor 1 goes form 0-2500mm, Floor 2 from 2700-5200mm. The object is at position height 4000mm, clearly at floor 2 level but the floor 1 has been assigned by CA to it. If I look the plan of floor 2 the object doesn't appear or if I look to an Orthographic Floor Overview with floor level set to 1, I see the object floating above the floor 1. I just want to indicate to CA to change the assigned floor level. Is there no easy solution other than duplicating the object, pasting it at the other floor level, and realigning it? Should be just a parameter linked to the object that you should be able to change in the open object dialog.

@DBCooper I don't know why, it doesn't work on my PC. I select the object, I do a cut, then I change floor but the pointer wants me to indicate where to paste it. As I have no reference point, I have to place it anywhere and the again try to align it

Hello I've created an architectural element on a wrong floor level. When viewing the project with orthographic floor overview, I see this element is on the wrong floor (it's flying above the floor). How can I change the floor attached to that element? I tried the explanation from the CA site, but it doesn't work. They say to select the element within the orthographic floor overview, click on copy, change the floor indicator, but it is no more possible to paste it (parameters of copy are no more accessible). I find a way: to put the element in the library, delete it on the plan, change floor, and reimport the library element, and move it to the right place. This is quite long. Is there not a possibility to just change a parameter linked to the element? Thank you A.

Hello, I am new with CA. I want to make a window that start from floor level and add a railing directly in the window frame as on the photo. (No balcony) I didn't find how to do it. Every time I am using the railing tool, my windows disappeared. I tried to wider the frame. Can someone help me... Thank you

Hello, I am new in this software. I made a leveled terrain (2% slope). I have separated parts on my terrain. For the large part, the house, everything is ok, the floor is on the terrain. But when drawing the walls of the second part of the property which is on the lower terrain, my walls are floating in the sky, approximately 20cm because the 0 level is on the main house. How can I create a new 0 level for the second part of the estate? Thank you
