  1. I've seen a couple threads talking about this and I just want to voice my support for a capable Linux port. I dropped Windows a couple years ago when they were still talking about some of the crap they had planned for Windows 11 (Copilot, recall, ads in your OS, etc). No, thank you. I actually have some respect for myself and refuse to be abused by an OS that I pay for. The vast majority of the time, Linux exceeds my expectations, and I almost always find solid replacement applications for the things I need to do. I'm delighted to have all our PC's running Linux now. Unfortunately, I never bought another version of Chief because I could not get the version of Chief that I had working on Linux. Chief is one of the few applications that I actually miss and would really appreciate it if it had a Linux version. I've tried things like Sweet Home, and Sweet Home is fine, but Chief has features that I appreciate and am willing to pay for. I will not be going back to Windows, and Macs are uninteresting for similar reasons. With Chief already using QT, I'm hopeful that there can be a Linux port for Chief at some point in the future. I've felt this way for several years now. Sincerely, A hopeful former client.
